YUM! alls i can say. my childhood friend, jenni, recommended this LA restaurant to me after reading her friend’s culinary blog, umamimart (a really great blog, by the way!). check out her experience at the golden state here.

i love everything about this restaurant. first off, i love their logo! very saul-bass-man-with-a-golden-arm-esque. (and we all know how much i love saul bass! ok, well i love the guy…).

the place is on fairfax in a great little neighborhood called miracle mile, almost next door to largo’s and kind of across the street from canter’s. you order at the counter, seat yourself and display your number on a metal ring.

the restaurant is all california. the food, the beer, the wine and most importantly the ice cream! i got the veggie burger with sweet potato fries and dan got the cheese burger with cole slaw. yum yum and yum yum. TDF.

i appreciate the small bun. at first they looked a little unstately but they are sprinkled with magic and are the perfect size! we were too full at the end of the meal to indulge in their famous beer float. you have to leave something for next time, right?
