Egg Carton Garden

January 27th, 2010 · No Comments · DIY Projects, our garden

I’m not sure where I got this idea. I’m sure I saw it somewhere. But, as I was finishing a carton of eggs this morning, I thought it might be a great idea to use the carton as a nursery. I have a few succulents who grow babies along the tips and ends of their leaves. It was time for me to pluck the babies off and plant them in some soil. The carton got a little soggy after I watered the little babes, so I nestled the garden in the lid of the carton that I had cut off. Wish me luck! We’ll see how this works out!

Here are the mommies. See the babies around the edges and tips of the leaves?
