I love terrariums. A little world contained in a glass bubble.

This is a great video showing how to build one step by step. It was made by the people at Sprout Home and Design*Sponge.

Also, here’s a terrarium kit you can buy on Etsy. It comes with everything you need to put together your own little world, gravel plants and decorative rocks.

Or, you can buy one already made. Here are a few super cute ones.

so made this edamame guacamole last night! yum yum yum. tasty and good for you. just edamame, avocado, lemon juice and garlic.

i got larry sue a new bed. i think meowski is jealous…

i’m in sf for the weekend. going to hopefully do some embroidery! can’t decide between the jelly fish or the giraffe or the elephant… hum…

last sunday i went to a friend’s house for brunch. she had two handmade coasters her mother had made years and years ago. i fell in love! one day, hopefully soon, i’m going to make some like these.

i found this whole new wee world. and i love it. and i’ve just officially joined it. i made my first (and definitely not my last) wee bunny.
i think he turned out adorable. and i think the little boy who it was crafted for is going to love it.

if not, make a friendship bracelet and it’s like stepping into a time machine. your braces will magically reappear on your teeth, your hair will instantly crimp and your shirt will turn into either a neon yellow or hyper color.

shannon and i are fasting for ten day and so we’re finding ways to keep busy while being cooped up in the house. one being friendship bracelets! shannon picked out some lovely fall rainbow colors! and i stuck to the normal rainbow, in memory of michael brady.

homemade pillow cases!

i made some pillow cases! i used a pattern and instructions from Simple Sewing by Lotta Jansdotter. I LOVE Lotta! and this book. her instructions are clear and easy. the photos in the book are clean and playful.

i picked out this great fabric at michael levine’s in the fabric district.

and thought that it would match my duvet cover perfectly! they don’t. but they look great anyways. now i’m going to have to make a new duvet cover! and look, even butter bean loves the new pillows!
