Hi! I’ve been busy this week. No time to write. I’ve been hard at work on websites and pinch pots! I will have some pinch pots for you to look at by the middle of next week!!! I’m super excited.

Here’s the latest website I’ve been slaving away at. It’s a psychoanalytical website; a forum for Michael to post his papers for all the world to read! Take a look. It’s still under construction, but he’s got some great papers!

I’m also working on a website for the very talented interior designer, Ramona Tan. If you are in the Bay Area and in need of some help with your kitchen or bathroom or anything interior… Give Ramona a call!

Another site I just finished up, (I said I had been busy!)was for another very talented lady, Tanya Lee Jones. She specialized in massage, bodywork and skincare.

It’s supposed to rain here all weekend. Perfect weather for some indoor activities! Like embroidery! Check out the awesome patterns Jenny Hart has over at Sublime Stitching and get creative!

Here’s a photo of Meowski. At least once a day, he crawls into my lap. All works stops and cuddling insues.

Lone Palm Studio Redesign

I recently revisited an old design. A few years back, I designed and built a website for Dan’s recording studio, Lone Palm Studio. Well, it badly needed an update, a fresh new look. The old site was dark and image heavy; the design was lacking a certain something. Above all, the copy needed rewritten and the whole site reorganized. I wanted to make the new design simple, clean and easy to follow. I substituted all the bulky jpgs for clean fresh css. A few tabs at the top help organize the site into an easy to understand site. Last Night’s Dinner!
I made a very yummy stir fry with zucchini, mushrooms, brussel sprouts and tofu over organic long grain brown rice. It turned out so yummy and I was so hungry by the time it was done, that I forgot to take a picture! Here’s a look at the empty, dirty wok…

i need to design a business card for myself. it’s one of those things that’s easy to put off. so, now it’s been three years (yikes, that’s embarassing to say out load) and i still don’t have a card.
i mostly like looking at what other people have come up with and say “wow!! that’s such a great idea!”
i found a few great sites with tons of ideas, mainly daily poetics’ art of the business card. so, here are some for you to wow about.

i got my new favorite book in the mail the other day. it’s called Make Your Place: Affordable, Sustainable Nesting Skills by Raleigh Briggs. i brought my little book with me on my trip to seattle and have been reading it every chance i get! i haven’t gotten through the whole book yet. but so far, i’ve learned how to make homemade tinctures, shampoo, salves, aloe gel (super stoked on this one!), face soap, body scrubs all the while learning which essential oil to use when. mind blowing! my whole world is turned upside down! or should i say rightside up?

i can’t wait to get home and make my own tinctures and toilet bowl cleanser and face soap and shampoo and… and… AND!!! sorry. breathe… i’m just super duper excited. the book is chalk full of natural remedies and recipes for everything you need around the house.

i love how the book is designed. everything is hand written and hand drawn. the header for each section is a tiny master piece in itself. raleigh draws pictures of the various herbs and roots. it makes it fun and educational to read.

i just found my new favorite site! the small objects. sarah neuburger makes the cutest stuff! she has a whole line of stamps and stationary. she also makes little wooden dolls, from finger puppets to wedding toppers.

browsing through flickr today, i found the art of Mami Kobayashi and i love it! he’s a graphic designer based in japan. he draws this cute little hamster character named poku poku going on a bunch of different adventures. he’s got a bunch of other work too. check out his flickr page here.
